I think the remake of "Angels in the Outfield" is better than the original. It is nostalgic and takes me back to my childhood.

I've got some heavy stuff going on in my life right now and this was a welcome distraction and made me feel better in a bittersweet sort of way...Thank you! Just wanted to point out the old Moonlight Graham was played by Burt Lancaster who I would love to see you check out in his younger days in films like "From Here to Eternity", "Elmer Gantry" and "Birdman of Alcatraz"...young Moonlight was played by Frank Whaley who played the hapless Brett(WHAT!?) in "Pulp Fiction"... Mark's wife Dee was played by Kelly Coffield who was a regular on the 90's sketch comedy TV show "In Living Color"...also if you are interested in Baseball there are lots of full length game recordings on YouTube from the 60's through to the 90's including many ALCS/NLCS and World Series games...very interesting historical type stuff! :)

2023-08-24 17:53:58 +0000 UTCFor another supernatural baseball movie (one that is sweet and charming) may I suggest Angels in the Outfield (1951). As usual, don't bother with the remake. Like Field of Dreams and all good sports movies, it is not so much about the sport as about relationships.
