I won't lie, I broke down to tears as I watched this (for the I don't know how many times). This movie plain rocks, just as much as the sequels do, which is rare. I'm super looking forward to your future reactions for the next two films. :)

I forget that you have a background in radio. For as few movies as you've seen, you're very well versed in 80s music.

Well, she's already seen Peter Serafinowicz (the voice of Darth Maul) in Shaun of the Dead.

I'd rank Boogie Nights and Walk Hard as much better John C. Reilly movies. Or even Magnolia.

John C. Reilly. That's the guy who plays the cop on Zandar. He's hilarious. Especially in his movies with Will Ferrell. There's "Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby" and "Step Brothers". You gotta add those to your polls. They're 2 of the funniest movies ever.

Chris Pratt was fit but he wanted to do comedy roles and they only wanted to cast him in the asshole jock roles so he gained weight and got Parks n Rec

I had the same thought about Gamora looking like Maze from “Lucifer”! They really do have similar faces and voices.
Also yes, you do need to see Footloose. It’s just an iconic movie and you need to be in the loop haha.

Right? I was wondering who told her that specific song was in the movie, without giving any other spoilers, LOL.

A few years ago, my mother gave me a mug with a silhouette of Groot giving the flower to the little girl on one side and “We Are Groot” on the other. I cried a little.
The “We are Groot” line takes on even deeper significance when one realizes the vocal mechanics of Groot’s species. In their formative years, as their vocal chords form they harden into such a way that they can then only make one word or phrase for the rest of their lives, with “I am Groot” being Groot’s. So when he manages to speak “WE are Groot”, he is literally breaking his vocal chords to express himself to his family before possibly dying.
