You're not alone. "Howard the Duck" is one of my guilty pleasures. It basically makes fun of its own premise throughout the movie in a fun way.

2022-02-04 21:10:23 +0000 UTCWhen the movie came out, everyone said “Why THESE guys?”, and even Stan Lee almost said he wouldn’t make a cameo because “They’re not MY characters, I’ve never heard of them!” Truth is: MCU needed one of their Space characters to get the full exposition on Thanos and the Infinity Stones, and the only other major characters who’d run into him were the Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer…Who were both still tied up with horrible mid-00’s movies at Fox. So we got…THESE guys, and possibly the better of the deal. 🤗 Will we hear more about the Stones? Oh, possibly….
