With Stardust Buying Nebula and the surprising success of Iron Man, Will Stardust Try to Make a Superman or Batman Movie?

So, Stardust just finalized their merger with Nebula, creating Stardust Entertainment; they now have control of DC superheroes . With the massive success of Iron Man and the announcement of The Incredible Hulk movie, do you think Stardust will follow Marvel's lead and dive into making superhero films?

Considering the classic 80s Superman and Batman movies, it would be amazing to see a modern take on these iconic characters. What do you all think? Will Stardust give us a new Superman or Batman movie soon?

Comments

Samholder193:

Yes, absolutely! With the merger, it’s only logical for Stardust to leverage those iconic DC characters. Plus, if they follow the same formula as Iron Man, we could be in for a treat.

DCFanboyForever:
I sure hope so! Superman and Batman need a fresh take, and Stardust has the potential to deliver. Especially with all the resources they have now.

marvelguy:
I'm not so sure. Stardust has been focused on other genres, and jumping into superhero movies might be too risky for them.

Omni8an:
With Daniel Adler involved, it’s a given! Have you seen his work on the Invincible series? The guy knows how to write compelling heroes. It's just a matter of time before he tackles Superman or Batman.

nrtintersting21:
Could go either way. They have the rights and the talent, but they might stick to what they’re already succeeding at.

percvertedOtaku:
I’m cautiously optimistic. If they get the right director and keep Adler's influence balanced, it could work out really well.

gatekeep456:
Just because they can doesn’t mean they should. Stardust should focus on original content instead of jumping on the superhero bandwagon.

eraghero466:
I don't understand the hate for Daniel Adler. The guy is a prodigy! Look at what he's achieved so far. If anyone can bring a fresh, engaging take on Superman or Batman, it's him. Stardust would be crazy not to leverage his talent for their DC properties.

Jamespreston: Alright, let me break this down for everyone. Stardust Studios, despite its recent successes, is still relatively new in the grand scheme of things. Yes, they’ve had major hits with Toy Story and The Blair Witch Project, but those are very different genres compared to superhero films. The superhero genre is a whole different beast.

Let’s look at the facts:

Experience: Stardust has excelled in animation and horror/thriller genres, but they haven’t tackled a large-scale superhero movie before. This genre demands a different skill set, especially in terms of special effects.

Financial Risk: Superhero movies, especially ones featuring iconic characters like Superman and Batman, require massive budgets. We’re talking millions of dollars. Stardust is relatively new, and while they’ve had financial success, a misstep in this genre could be a major setback.

Expertise: Daniel Adler is a talented writer, no doubt about it. But writing for animation and horror is vastly different from writing a superhero epic. He’s great, but even the best writers need a solid support system and experience in the specific genre they’re working in.

So here is my suggestion,

Collaboration with Established Studios: Instead of jumping headfirst into producing superhero movies, Stardust should consider leasing out their DC characters to more experienced studios. This way, they can learn the ropes, mitigate financial risks, and still benefit from the exposure and profits. Studios like Warner Bros. or even disney. They have the experience, the special effects teams, and the track record.

AdlerFangirl1 :

Hey Adlerholics! 🌟

I've been piecing together bits from Daniel Adler’s interviews over the past year, and I think I’ve figured out what his next series might be about. Bear with me, because this is a bit long, but I promise it’s worth it.

Interview from January: In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Daniel mentioned that his next work would be “very adult” and “not for kids.” He emphasized that this series would tackle mature themes and be more complex than anything he’s done before.

Comic Con Panel Discussion: During the panel for Invincible, Daniel talked about wanting to delve into fantasy but with a twist that’s more suited for an adult audience.

Recent Tweet in August: Daniel tweeted, “Just finished a writing session having trouble describing sex scenes.”

Combining all these clues, I’m convinced that Daniel’s next series might be an adult take on Percy Jackson. Imagine Percy as an adult, navigating his fantastical world but dealing with the same adult issues we all face—relationships, moral ambiguity, the weight of destiny, and yes, even sex.

Think about it:

Mature Themes: Percy dealing with the consequences of his past adventures and the complexities of adult life.

Dark Fantasy Elements: Gods and monsters that are more terrifying and less black-and-white than the original series.

Complex Characters: Deeper, more flawed characters that reflect adult struggles and growth.

In conclusion, we might be looking at a series where Percy Jackson grows up and faces a world that’s far less forgiving and more complex than the one he knew as a teenager. It’s Percy Jackson, but with all the adult stuff. Who’s with me on this? 🧙‍♂️⚔️🔱

Wow, AdlerFangirl92, that’s some impressive sleuthing! I hadn’t thought about an adult Percy Jackson, but it makes so much sense given the clues.

Zeussucks:

If this is true, it’s going to be epic! I’ve always wanted to see what Percy would be like as an adult. Plus, Daniel Adler’s writing style has matured so much. I’m sure he’ll nail it. Fingers crossed for some good drama and action!.

Poseidon’sKid:

I can totally see Daniel taking Percy in a more adult direction. Imagine Percy dealing with godly politics, mortal problems, and maybe even starting a family of his own. The possibilities are endless. Great job piecing this together!.

Adlersgirl77:

What if Daniel Adler’s next series is something entirely new? Considering his love for D&D, it could be a high fantasy epic. Imagine a world with dragons, magic, and epic quests. I’d love to see his take on that!.

Allysm33:

Remember how well he did with Blair Witch Project? Maybe his next series will be a horror story. Something dark and twisted, perhaps with supernatural elements. He has a knack for creating suspense and fear.

Persophneloveshades:

I hope Adler can pull off the darker themes without losing the charm of the original series. An adult Percy Jackson sounds intriguing, but it needs to balance the mature content with the adventurous spirit we all love.

Sarahwrites:

Sci-fi all the way! Think of the world-building possibilities. Space colonies, alien civilizations, AI. Adler could create a universe as rich and detailed as any fantasy world.

AdlerFanatic99:

Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll be incredible. Adler has never disappointed us before, and his next series will likely be another masterpiece, regardless of the genre.
