NSFW comic thoughts

Hey everyone. Here I'm gonna write a bit more about my first NSFW comic. It was a lot of work so I'd just like to talk about some of what went into it haha.

As I said, this project ended up taking just shy of 40 hours... which probably is not bad for four pages and my first attempt at a NSFW comic. I even tried to have more elaborate shading like you'd see in most manga of this sort lol. One of the clearest "mistakes" time commitment wise was the four pages. I even started the project planning to do two but I let it grow without thinking. If I'm to make this a more common thing for the patreon I'll need to cap myself at 2 pages and probably simplify shading a bit.

Onto the content itself, there's no real reason why Kasumi was the guinea pig. She's cute and I like her design but ultimately it's just a case of starting somewhere. I also thought it was gonna take less time than a coloured artwork and not like four times as long. Anyway, her outfit did lead itself to the silly malfunction "plot"...

Speaking of plot, obviously I kept it very silly/nonsensical. It's probably not out of place for this sort of thing anyway and if I cut back on pages there will be even less pretext in the future. The story isn't the point of these comics haha. One thing to note which you probably have picked up on is that my content is very vanilla. I get it's not always the most titillating and I'm certainly not saying anything about other genres but it's just what I feel comfortable spending long stretches of time on right now. Ironically, it's also less common in this space so maybe it'll stand out lol.

For the first panel specifically, I used an image for the background to have some sort of establishing shot/context. I've usually been against this and this sorta cements it for me but I really had to wrap up the comic. In the future I'll try to draw a background if it feels required or at least use some sort of 3d model since that tends to blend in better from what I've seen.

As for the censoring, it's kinda dumb because afaik I'm not bound to any such rules unless I decide to post on pixiv which I hardly use. The Japanese rules are also dumb where a dick is bad but a uterus is fine lol. So idk if I'll continue that in the future but it does add the smallest bit of an incentive for the higher tiers so I feel it makes sense in that regard.
