Someone has probably mentioned it already, but Freddy's line upon reviving about how they shouldn't have buried him because he wasn't dead is a reference to Wes Craven's Serpent and the Rainbow which released the same year.

I often forget how messy the film is with all the weird threads and in some cases dropped character bits you guys brought up. Hope to see 2 and 5 get covered come day in the future.
