Animation Damnation - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) "Plan 10"
Added 2023-08-10 10:00:02 +0000 UTC
On this edition of our monthly cartoon recap show, we're talking about a silly episode of the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot show!
The episode in question, "Plan 10," originally aired June 22, 2014 and features Raphael getting his brain swapped with a Kraang drone, Splinter being totally jacked and built like a brick shit house, Casey Jones watching fake anime shows, the Turtles throwing an injured man out of their moving van, and, for some reason, a dinosaur? PLUS: Disgraced comedian Roseanne Barr lazily doing the voice of Kraang Prime!

It may be just me, but I fucking HATE the art style of Rise of the TMNT.

Congrats, Smaug, it was actually YOU who even made us hip to this. I just started to sync now, which will take a while, but I'd try back maybe tomorrow or so just to be on the safe side, but yes, this has been activated for our Patreon! Thanks for the heads up! - Andrew

Hey are you guys going to opt in to the Spotify Open Access program? This allows Patreon subscribers to link their Spotify and Patreon accounts to listen to Patreon content directly through Spotify. I'd be into this. I like Patreon but their media player kinda sucks and it'd be cool to have one stop shopping for listening

Michael Madsen has actually done some decent video game voice acting. Plays a character in the awesome as shit Dishonored series. Strong recommend.

I'm so lost in all the different show reboots. Last one I kinda watched was the one that had the spiderverse type crossover with all the different tmnt types.

The TMNT cartoon from 2018 is better. At least visually Hope you guys cover that one sometime soon. Also can we as a society just admit 2D animation is better for television than 3D?

I think you're totally right. The new movie succeeds in doing that as well. I guess for whatever reason I'm okay with "crushes," but like, that 1990 movie and ESPECIALLY that 2014 movie go WAY overboard in the wrong direction. - Andrew

Oh wow, very cool, Steven! I've actually considered going through the whole thing. I guess you could say that new movie gave me... TURTLEMANIA! - Andrew

I figured that aging April down was an attempt to desexualize her, which I appreciated. Of course, that's undermined when one of the show's long-running subplots was Donnie's crush on her.

I worked on this show 6 to 7 years ago on its final season. I even hung up your tmnt 3 live show poster in the office at the time. Looking forward to this one π
