The Snyder Sessions Part 2: Paul Schrader's "Aqua Focus"

On the second part of our massive dissection of this cinematic superhero slobber-knocker, we're talking about it all, folks: Vulko being a super-creepy amateur pornographer, Bruce Wayne's cynical sense of humor being the only comedy that works in this movie, the absolutely wild Hot Dog/11 that happens during the Flash's intro, and we even pitch a new, totally awesome, J.K. Simmons-led, Commissioner Gordon HBO Max show that just so happens to also be called According to Jim!

Thanks so much for supporting our Patreon endeavor. Be sure to tune in on Friday, March 26 for the stunning conclusion of The Snyder Sessions!

Couldn't Snyder have cut out the first hour of this movie and just start with Wonder Woman's explainer on the Amazons island

An hour long part 2? Pretty lazy even for you guys

In addition to the lack of levity you can tell that Whedon was also hired to inject some vulnerability into these characters. In the theatrical there is a scene between Flash and Batman where Flash admits he's not a fighter and is out of this depth. And another where Batman is getting angry with Diana about why she's been in hiding since WW2 ended. Snyder seems to be more interested in what these characters do rather than why.

The hamburger isnt a hamburger. It represents this mans life which has slipped from his fingers. As he tries to grasp what is left, the surrounding world becomes a blur. He's driving the truck, but is he really.? I say the hamburger is really driving the truck. The hamburger is society. The hamburger is the Joker.

Maybe we'll get that Cyborg training montage in the Snyder Cut Extended Edition

just 4 hours of Zack Snyder jerking off to Ayn Rand

It’s always a pleasure to hear Alan Alda on the show.

The “analysis” of what ZS was representing with the truck driver distracted by the dropped hamburger brought me straight back to film studies in college.
