Mercy Test Animation
Added 2020-07-05 20:44:58 +0000 UTCAlright so I decided to revisit the Mercy animation now that I have a new GPU. I don't think it went well.
The environment, mainly the water, meant I would have to render at a quality that basically removed the advantage my new GPU gave me. Since I'd already animated it (because I was stupid and didn't check things first) I decided to do a test at 720p.
This was mainly to see if my animation abilities have improved, so no audio as none of my Voice Packs fit the action and I don't want to spend time on a failed animation.
Actual picture quality is fairly rough due to low sample count (lots of heavy denoising), but I think the movement looks fairly good.
I mentioned I was looking for a VA, as I plan to do a Tifa render, I am still looking.S o if you have a fave VA please do let me know. Currently MissMoonified is definitely in the running for me if they are available once I'm ready and are willing to voice Tifa.
This time though, because animation is difficult and I've frequently underestimated the time required, I will not be giving an estimated release for this animation. Since I will still be mostly focusing on still renders and will continue to release each Wednesday & Sunday.
As the saying goes, it will be ready when it is ready.
