March Update
Added 2019-05-16 23:04:34 +0000 UTCNot much to say, guys. GMO2 is coming along and it's getting good reviews on Royalroad. I'm happy with my decision because the feedback has been amazing. There have been several changes to the Friday/Violet drama llama. At this point we are on schedule to finish the first draft by late July. Then it'll take a month, probably two, to edit.
I hope everyone is having a great summer.

This is such a good comment im going to make a post about it concerning the first topic. You're right about unpopular weapons getting pushed to the side. Every gun can be upgraded. Like Violet starts off as a standard issue glock, but she can get a full auto seer installed. However, there is a limit to how much you can mod an old WW2 rifle. You could take that type 99, slap on a fiberglass stock, add a serious bipod, and accurize the shit out of it. It would especially become a modern bolt action. Maybe i'll take this as a challenge. Max's next two weapons plotted out for this novel, but maybe i'll do this in book 3.

2019-05-19 08:47:52 +0000 UTC(there be spoilers below) Have to say I like the transition of GM from a primary title to a "catalog" title. Making the NPCs earn a living since there are now many more of them than players is a cool change. It adds a cool depth, and it was foreshadowed in GM1 nicely. Not entirely sure what is the point of the digitalization dance at the beginning was - just the accident should have been enough. I hope there is more than just "random backfill" there because otherwise it doesn't advance the plot any. (ignoring the OpSec issues entirely) I would suggest that the game needs to deal with "unpopular" weapons by allowing them the option to upgrade within a nation/family. (like the CETME was the basis for the G3) Not sure what the poor Type 99 is going to do. Maybe to a Howa Type 64 or even 89?
