An Update from My Singapore Journey! (Why No Uploads?)

Hi guys! I feel I owe you an update on what I have been up to in the past two weeks since there were no uploads on YouTube.

As I had announced on the channel, I took a trip to research the unique food culture of Singapore. Thanks to a lot of great audience advice I had a GIANT list of 35 dishes to try - maybe a bit too ambitious for less than a week but I was quite confident I could pull this off... Until I caught a really, really mean cold only 2 days in. Worst part was that even if I pulled myself together - I just couldn't taste anything! 😫😷

But no worries. I did all I could to at least get my taste buds back quickly and after boiling down my dish list to some of Singapore's most interesting and classic dishes, I still have a lot of great food and impressions from Singapore to share. 

Originally I wanted to edit my videos on the go for you guys, but I hope you understand that I had to rearrange my plans. I now used my time to gather footage which I will start releasing when I am back in the second half of November.

My favorite part of this tour was the kick-off - I revisited my very first food upload (Hainanese Chicken Rice from January 2018), but this time I decided to go DEEP and compare the original Hainanese version in Hainan with Singapore's legendary Tian Tian Chicken Rice. This will be the first upload in the series and I am very, very excited to share it!! Lots of cool things happened on that leg of the trip, food-wise as well as culturally :) 

I am currently in the Philippines, recovering from the last remains of my cold and about to take a quick sunny break after this rewarding but also super exhausting trip. And you know what? Filipino food was not much more than an afterthought but I was so surprised - turns out it might be the most underrated of all Asian cuisines. I will absolutely share a few recipes from here with you guys as well! They are healthy(-ish), unique, and most importantly: DELICIOUS :D

Thank you guys so much for staying patient <3 I have so many great flavors and stories to share, I promise it will be worth the wait. Also lots of cool little bonus snippets that won't make it into the videos but that I will share with you here.
