Hello peeps,
I had the opportunity to focus on what I really wanted over the past few days, so I updated Asset Doctor on Nexus! Truth be told, I had a half-baked update in the works for a while but today it finally made it out of the backlog!
The goal behind this update is ease of use, convenience, and quality of life.
The following changes were made:
Labels now point clearly to their source object
Labels try to organize themselves into aesthetically pleasing patterns
Label font changed and configurable via ini
Added option to disable GUI in the background by default
Added option to ignore face/hair/skin tint errors (common in vanilla and harmless)
Changed top HUD to be slimmer and cleaner, centered on screen
Basically everything about the UI was overhauled
I had an epiphany a few months back where I realized that the old versions of Asset Doctor with the GUI just makes testing your mod list a straight up eyesore.
As someone who's often at the end of my patience about minor details the ugly visuals just made me more mad when tracking down missing assets. And if I'm not enjoying the usage of my own tool, how could I expect others to enjoy it as well?
Anyway, give the update a try!
If you have no idea what Asset Doctor is, read the mod page!
