Ordanian Dominance Prologue (New IP)
Added 2018-05-21 17:00:00 +0000 UTCPossible story and I’m not sure where I’ll go with it if I go anywhere with it.
Walking through the halls of the dropship he was traveling on, Gifford ‘Leviathan’ Kaldwitch yawned to himself as he heard murmur after murmur from the people of the army he commanded. It was easy for the dirty blonde man to ignore most of the words that left his subordinate's lips as they spoke among themselves, but a few always managed to stand out.
“Leviathan really was a name chosen properly for our commander, wasn’t it?”
“A name that brings destruction fits a sadistic man such as him.”
“I wonder where his next target will be.”
However, every time he heard these thoughts repeated throughout his army, it just meant he knew who to put on the front lines for the next assault. And that thought always brought a smile to the man’s lips.
“That’s for another time…” Gifford whispered to himself as he walked into the briefing room of the dropship, his smile fading for just a moment to keep up appearances for his crew. Step by step, the man with piercing blue eyes made his way to the large table in the center of the room, immediately putting his rather large hands on the edge of it and looking at the flat display of the small village that was the army’s next target. Dragging his fingers from the edge of the table and to the center, the commander lifted his finger off the surface and caused the flat display to become a 3D hologram that hovered a short distance above the table. As he looked around the room, he could see person after person filing in through the door that led into the room. “Ah, good. The Unit Leaders are here.”
“Of course, Commander Leviathan! You called for a briefing before we reach our destination!”
“Glad to see that some people here know who to listen to and who is in charge.” Gifford gestured to the holographic image that was hovering over the table, a smile coming to his lips. “This is the next village we are going to take over. As you know, the royal family is one with ravenous intent to dominate the world. We are lucky to be on the correct side of their path of destruction. However, we must move one step at a time to take over another region properly. Pick the proper resource suppliers, cut the main enemy’s powers in half, that sort of thing.” His blue eyes scanned over the few men and woman who had entered the room, seeing their content expressions. “The village has been coined by natives as ‘Sol Harbor’, probably because they think they are as important as the sun to their kingdom or some shit like that, but its proper name is ‘Oddisia’. Are any of you familiar with it?”
No one spoke up, causing the commander’s smile to fade.
“Really? No rumors, no knowledge of if it’s a fishing village, a farm village. Nothing?” A heavy sigh left Gifford’s lips as he shook his head. “Alright, that’s fine. We will arrive tomorrow with the speed the drop ship is moving. Go tell your units to be ready for invasion within the next twelve hours or they’ll be on the front lines without any gear.”
“Sir, yes sir!” With that, the Unit Leaders left their commander alone in the room, unaware of the devious smile that was coming to his lips.
“It doesn’t matter what kind of village you are. When I’m done with you, you’ll be nothing but rubble when I’m done with you.~” A twisted sense of excitement and anticipation littered the man’s voice as he brought the hologram back down to being a flat display. “I can’t wait to enjoy my time searching the rubble for women and children to bring back to the Odranian kingdom as slaves.”

“Q! I keep telling you that you’re going to get sunburnt sitting up on the roof all day!”
A female’s voice stirred the young woman that was on the roof awake, a soft groan leaving the drowsy woman as she ran a hand through her long violet-colored hair. “Yeah, yeah! I’ll get down eventually… I need to buy some more ingredients from the shop soon, anyway.” Q yawned to herself as she rose to her feet, somehow not falling off as she looked down and saw her brunette of a neighbor still looking up at her with her magic staff in her hand. “What is it, Kin? Something on your mind? And why do you have my staff?”
“You’re wearing just a bra and pants again, Q! How many times have people gotten hurt because of that?!” Kin sighed as she closed her brown eyes and tapped a large staff on the ground beside her. “You’re not getting this back until you get down from there and put on a damn shirt!” The brunette put on the most authoritative voice she could as she gripped the staff, gasping a moment later when her friend jumped off of the roof and landed only a step in front of her, her brown eyes meeting a deep purple that made her heart skip a beat. Whether in fear of what might happen, or anticipation of something positive that might happen, Kin didn’t know or care. “Y-You just jumped… Off…”
“Yeah, I did. And you stole my shaft and are wanting to keep it until I put something else on. You know damn well what I can do with and without that staff.” Q could easily see that her distant and almost uncaring voice sent a shiver of fear through Kin, the look easy to read in her eyes. “Give me the staff back and I’ll go put on some damn clothes. Just know that whatever I put on is coming off when I get to the main portion of town. It gets me a bigger discount than threatening people.” A smile came to the violet-haired woman’s face as her neighbor held out her staff, not hesitating to take it back from the brunette. “Thank you. Now, be a dear and pick me something nice, at least. You have a better taste for fashion than I do.”
