First off, just had to say a huge thank you to, well, all of you. The latest video really brought in quite a few new Patrons, and when I say I couldn't do this without you guys, that's the absolute truth. As the videos have gotten longer and more complex in terms of researching and editing over the last year or so, the financial support from you guys has really helped. From simple stuff like paying for a logo to be designed by a professional instead of something I knocked up in 5 minutes in a bootleg copy of photoshop, to paying for the manga/Albert Wesker cameo in the last video, I appreciate all of you. Even moreso now as as Biscuit is determined to put us in the poor house, having spent close to โฌ500 on vet bills for him this month alone, and he has another appointment tomorrow morning ๐ซ This cat hates us, I swear to god. He truly is pure evil. But god dammit he's so fucking CUTE!
Anyway, so the Freakshow Fighting video was far and away the most successful video I've done so far. It managed to hit 100k views in a little under a week, which for me, is pretty damn good!! In YouTube being YouTube news, whole video was blocked worldwide 2 days after it went online. CBS objected to some of the Paul V Silva footage, and when I removed the offending segment, the bastards claimed another 6 second segment of footage and refused to unblock the video. In the end I had to chop out a full 20 seconds or to get it reinstated. Normally in this instance, I'd refuse to cut out the segment entirely, and just reupload an edited version. As i hate the idea of there just being a big gap in the narrative. But I really didn't want to lose the original upload, as it had gotten a bunch of attention from YT channels far and away more successful than mine.
It's still a bit surreal to me at this point, but I got comments on the video from Loudwire (1.9 million subscribers), Nerd City, (900k), F.D Signifier (400k), & Ghost Gum (300k). Signifier even went to the length of sharing the video in a community post which was just insane to me. I've even had a bit of interest from people in TV, but that's a pipe dream. I know where I'm best suited and that's YouTube. For all its faults, its the only platform where I can -mostly- be free to put whatever i feel like in a video. Its still incredible that they reached out, but yeah, highly doubtful you'll be hearing me talking about Ashida Kim's cock on TV at any point soon ๐
So what's next?? Well after making an almost 2 hour long video, I'm going to scale back a bit for the next one. I've kinda settled on the idea of covering Dana Whites pet project: Power Slap. It'll be a shorter video in all likelihood, so really, this will be almost like DLC for the last video. I had only very briefly mentioned Power Slap at the end of the last video, and despite really wanting to take a massive shit on it, I didn't have the time. But that time, is now. So look out for Power Slap: Chronic Traumatic Entertainment, coming soon.
Thank you again, for all the support, the messages, the comments, everything.
Take care and Just Bleed,
Nap
