Post video breakdown

So with the video mostly done, It's time to chat shit about this one for a bit while I'm waiting on the youtube version to render, cause I cant play any videogames while rendering, and thanks to all the Jake Paul videos I watched, my Youtube algorithm is shot to shit and only recommending me garbage!

So speaking of the Youtube version, this is the most butchering I've had to do to a video to attempt to get it past Youtubes censorship ever. The YT overlords really do think all of us are children incapable of consuming media that's considered even slightly mature. I've had to censor every swear word, I've had to cut out the clip of that awesome bit of trash talk between 2 influencers where one guy threatens to blow the other dude. The brief clips of War footage in the "shit 20's" section I've had to lower its opacity so its barely visible, either that or I would've had to remove it entirely. Had to censor the aftermath of Garcia vs Hotta, had to censor the Jake Paul sexual assault allegations (literally just blanked out the words "sexual assault"), removed most of the clips of KSI harassing the women at the Eurogamer expo, censored the Jake Paul sex toy scene (tho it was dumb of me to not censor that in the first place), and other assorted cuts here and there.

It wouldn't be so bad if YT wasn't so completely random with its decisions on which videos to block too.

I mean, look at this. I uploaded 2 versions to YT. A censored, and uncensored version. The CENSORED one got age restricted. But the uncensored version remains fine (tho itll get demonetized if i even try and turn it on). It just makes no sense. If the butchered version im working on now still gets demonetized/copyright blocks when uploaded, Ill just say fuck it and make the uncensored and un-monetizable version live. It will be incredibly painful to lose out on potential money from it after 2 months of work, but not much else I can do at this point.

Anyway, I'm glad to have this one done for now. The Jack Dempsey / Ali Inoki / Lebell and Minowa segments were the most enjoyable parts to make. The Manga pages for Dempsey vs Cowboy Luttrell was so much fun, talking to the artist, describing the story, how I wanted it to look, and the genuine excitement of opening the finished pages was fantastic! And the Cameo of Wesker from Resident Evil was so dumb, and expensive, but once I had the idea in my head I had to do it! Tho I did cycle through a few different options before settling on Wesker. Other potentials were Master Ken, and Simon Templeman (who did the voice for Kain in the  Legacy of Kain games). I was actually 100% sold on using him, as he has one of the best villain voices of all time, until I found out he doesn't do Cameos anymore. But Wesker (D.C Douglas) knocked it out of the park. It's the most expensive 13 seconds of footage I've ever commissioned 😂

It was fun to do the Gabi Garcia vs An old lady fight too. I actually talked about that in the very first Fight Circus video I did (my 2nd ever video, overall). But that video was shite, so I deleted it. One thing I had to try and convey with this one was I really didn't want people to think I was calling Garcia a freak. Just the nature and circumstances of the fight that were freakish. A trained opponent of Garcias size and physicality beating the brakes off a 49 year old who never fought before and thinks running the ropes is the best base for MMA. I really have no problem at all with women who are jacked as shit like Garcia, hell its 2023, get with the times grandpa. Muscle girls are beautiful too. That's why I added that clarification at the end of the segment. But then I thought, is pointing that out actually making it worse?? In the end I left the clarification in, just because I don't ever want to be accused of making fun of someone for their looks. Even in all the Steven Seagal digs I've ever made, I've gone out of my way never to make fun of his weight, cause thats just low effort bullying. I guess I did make fun of Conor's veneers a few times, but fuck it, he's a billionaire, its cool.

Once it got into Jake Paul, all notions of holding back went out the window tho. Fuck that guy. It didn't help that watching his content made me genuinely hate him more than I ever thought I could. I don't give a fiddlers fuck if he goes to PFL, knocks out their entire roster, and submits Ngannou with a gogoplata. That guy will always be a real piece of shit in my eyes and unworthy of any MMA fans respect.

I knew he was unlikable, but like most of us, I never watched his content. So he was just "that annoying youtuber beating up broken down fighters". It wasn't until I saw the Nerd City video that I was like "this guy is an absolute shitheap of  a human" and thought I had to make a video about him.

The soundtrack to writing this album was Shortwave Ruins by Mount Shrine. If you're having trouble sleeping I highly recommend it. Its nothing but keyboard drones broken by Air traffic control radio Reach None - YouTube oddly relaxing if a bit ominous at times. And Void XXI by Chiehei Hatakeyama The Arctic Ocean - YouTube  Great chill out music for writing to! I pretty much just had both these albums on repeat for the last 2 months of writing sessions.

What's next? I really, really wanted to shit all over Power Slap in this video, but just ran out of time. So maybe a short video on that? Either that, or maybe a return to TUF. but first I finally have to finish God of War Ragnarok, which I started in November, and still haven't fucking finished.
