Early Access | How Japan Clean series continues!

This time I'm taking you to Nara to see how the staff cleans a massive 1300 year old statue, built in 752. They clean it every year on August 7th, it's quite a sight to see! I thought this was a good way to also teach the history behind this amazing attraction. I met the Abbot about 7 years ago and he remembered me, allowed me this interview and access which they've never given to another YouTuber before. I'm very happy at the chance to share this with you. Enjoy! John ^_^

That was intriguing to learn how sufficient water pressure was created to allow fire hoses to be able to deliver water to the top. There is a parallel to the oldest fountain in Japan which is located in Kanazawa's Kenroku-en Garden. Water flows from a higher lake through tunnels to the base of the fountain which then with natural water pressure allows the fountain to erupt to the same height as the lake above.
