[Senju Tobirama: Oh? The infamous Uchiha Madara acknowledging me? This is a first.]
[Uchiha Madara: Don’t get cocky. I'm just fed up with these Uchiha antics.]
[Uchiha Izuna: You should feel honored that my brother recognizes you, you old white-haired relic!]
Meanwhile, in the video, Boruto crouched beside Nanashi, concern etched on his face. "No! You shouldn't be stuck in such a dark and damp place!"
He gently grasped her arm, his voice firm yet compassionate. "You weren’t born just to fight. You deserve to carve your own path!"
But as he caught sight of the scars concealed on her skin, a wave of anger surged through him. "How can they treat you like this?"
“I swear, I’ll free you!”
Determination flooded Boruto as he stood, charged with purpose. With a flick of his wrist, he prepared a Rasengan, ready to blast open the cell door and liberate her.
But just as he moved to break the bars, the Rasengan fizzled out uncontrollably, leaving Boruto feeling frustrated. "I can’t even use my ninjutsu!"
“She’s been stuck in this horrible place for so long…”
Boruto's heart ached for Nanashi. He always knew the Uchiha were harsh, but this—this was beyond inhumane. It was unimaginable, even cruelty beyond what he had seen with Merujin.
With renewed purpose, Boruto stepped toward the iron gate, gripping the bars tightly. Instantly, flames erupted around his hands.
"If I can’t use ninjutsu, then I’ll break through with sheer strength!"
He gritted his teeth, enduring the agonizing burn as he pushed harder against the iron rails. The entire cell ignited with fiery determination, casting light into the suffocating darkness. The flames illuminated Nanashi’s face, reflecting a mix of shock and hope.
Nanashi watched in disbelief as Boruto, a stranger, willingly endured pain for her sake. “Why would you risk so much for someone you just met?”
Boruto, still fighting through the agony, replied, “How is this stupid? As long as you keep pushing forward, you can always carve a new path for yourself!”
His voice swelled with confidence, recalling the countless obstacles he faced in search of his father’s memories. "My dad... he forged his own destiny, and I want to do the same!"
By now, the railing had bent considerably under Boruto's efforts. “I want this for you too. I refuse to give up; that's why I’m here!”
Despite the flames scorching his arms, Nanashi panicked. "Stop... please, just give up! This is who I am!”
"Don’t allow the fate others have chosen for you to dictate your life!"
Boruto’s passionate outburst drowned out her protests. “You decide your fate! Create your own path! This is *your destiny!*”
With one final roar, fueled by his commitment, Boruto shattered the last two railings—and the doorway to freedom opened.
"Ha ha...!"
But as he staggered back, stinging pain radiated from his burned arms. Even the simple act of moving was excruciating, yet all he could think about was Nanashi. "This isn’t where you belong..."
Nanashi's eyes reflected uncertainty. "Why... why would someone like me deserve freedom..."
"What was that sound?" a voice barked from outside, drawing closer. "It came from the cell!"
“They figured it out.”
Alarmed, Boruto grabbed Nanashi’s hand. "We have to go!"
"Has someone broken the seal?"
"Who did this?"
"Could it be the Senju clan?"
"Then they’re after Nanashi!”
"We can’t let her escape—bring her back!"
Nanashi felt torn, caught between her ties to the Uchiha and the lure of freedom. Despite being labeled a weapon, she craved a life beyond these bars.
Boruto, sensing her hesitation, urged, “If you leave here, you’ll never be a pawn again!”
But fear gripped her heart. "But... what if..."
"I promise! I’ll protect you, even if it costs me my life!"
“…”
"Nanashi! You must trust me!"
When Nanashi met Boruto's sincere gaze, his unwavering spirit sparked something within her. Finally, she took his hand, her decision made. "Let’s go!"
With a firm grip, Boruto pulled her along, racing toward freedom.
But the Uchiha clan, realizing something was amiss, swiftly began their search. Their suspicions heightened as they noticed signs of escape—footprints, lingering scents...
Despite their non-stop flight through the jungle, Boruto and Nanashi could feel the Uchiha closing in.
Panic surged within Boruto as he spotted their pursuers gaining ground. He pushed Nanashi into the brush beside them. "Hide!"
"You..."
The Uchiha clan, having finally caught their scent, shouted, "You little brat! You really look down on us!"
They recognized Boruto—the boy they had previously captured, thinking he was a mere spy.
the middle Uchiha glared. "Where's Nanashi?"
Boruto feigned ignorance with a casual laugh. "Who knows? We split up; I have no idea where she went!"
"Someone saw you two together. Your attempt to shield her is futile!"
Boruto wore a defiant expression, wearing a tough expression. "We split up, and she’s not here."
the Uchiha goon's patience wore thin. "Concealing the truth won’t help you!"
Boruto shouted back, “I told you, I don’t know anything!”
"You're brave, kid," one Uchiha sneered, "But you’re playing with fire!"
Boruto retorted, his voice dripping with disdain. "Even if I knew where she was, I wouldn’t tell you! She’ll be in danger if you find her again!"
the Uchiha in the middle chuckled darkly. "Danger? That would mean she’s doing her job!"
another Uchiha added, "We fight for the clan—that's the true path of a ninja!"
Rage bubbled within Boruto as he clenched his fists. "You scum! You're just using her as a mere weapon. You're now even calling her a ninja?"
another Uchiha scoffed. "Oh? You’re clearly aware! But this is her fate in this era. Those who fight as ninjas and those treated as weapons are part of a balance that makes our clan stronger!"
[Uchiha Madara: What a load of nonsense!]
[Uchiha Izuna: Brother, please calm down. They can’t even hear you through the screen.]
[Onoki: I never expected to see Uchiha Madara so riled up.]
[Senju Hashirama: I know Madara well. He cares deeply for his people’s future; otherwise, he wouldn’t have built a village with me.]
[Hidan: You, too, hail from the Warring States. It's wild to see you angered by your kin’s actions!]
[Nagato: The survival tactics back then were barbaric.]
[Senju Tobirama: In that world, survival dictated the terms; everyone did what they had to, whether it was kind or cruel. Survival outweighs morality.]
Boruto’s fury intensified. “So this is your justification for ruining her life?”
"This is the Warring States, kid," one Uchiha drawled, sneering at him.
As Boruto prepared to fight, he refused to back down. The Uchiha smirked, underestimating him but drawing weapons nonetheless, aware of how many young boys they had defeated in battle already.
