Hi John! I am a fan of your Only in Japan shows, and I am happy to support you on Patreon. My favorite videos include your unique trip on the Sunrize Izumo (I am a train nerd) and the Esashi bridge climb. Watching your videos, as well as seeing your appearances on shows such as Tokyo Eye, make me want to return to Japan again. I love Japanese culture and have visited three times as a tourist, most recently in 2013. Seeing your new hitchhiking videos give me more inspiration for my next trip goal, which is to spend a few days riding trains on the Tokaido Main Line (honsen) from Tokyo to Kyoto, tracing the old Tokaido Road as best I can and stopping at cities and places that many tourists would otherwise blow through on the bullet train. This trip must include a stay in a ryokan with a hot spring, which I have surprisingly never done! I also have a desire to communicate more in Japanese. After so many years, my command of the Japanese language is still not very good. I hope that I will do my best to learn more prior to my next trip, whenever that might come around.
