Hi, everyone
Work continues on the combat and stat system in tandem. All of the stats are working together properly, and the attached photo shows the developer view of what’s happening under the hood. Getting this UI working properly took a bit of time, but it was an important step, and now that the code is working it’s just a matter of some graphical tweaks to turn it into a user-friendly UI.
Combat programming is still pushing my limits, so I’ve been speaking to a few people in the Unreal Engine community who are interested in helping. Hoping to bring on a new team member soon!
I’m curious to know what kind of combat our community enjoys, so feel free to comment below with some 3rd-person action games that you like. What did you enjoy about the combat? Did it do something differently from other games in the genre?
