Like I know you were just being facetious by saying "let's cancel him," but discounting his value as a cast member just because his values doesn't perfectly line up with yours is the exact kind of mindset that literally is everything that's wrong with cancel culture. There's nothing wrong with "going against the grain." We shouldn't toss people out just because they think differently. I didn't agree the general sentiment of what Nelson said either in this one, but he made a few good points. But that's the point of conversation. Two opposite sides of an argument can respectfully disagree but still learn from each other. Just because he didn't say exactly what you wanted him to say, doesn't mean that he's not worth listening to

I have to agree with Nelson here. I feel like he was just highlighting the fact that cancel culture is the blanket term for the “me too” movement as well as the unjustified “lynchings”. It’s refreshing to see Nelson stand up for his opinion considering the OG crew tend to just follow whichever the strong personalities are in the room. Moreover, it’s not like the judicial system is fair either. Sometimes the use of social media is more accelerated and effective way to bring light to an issue. Whether the outcome is good or bad, I feel social media is an inevitable fabric of our society.
