Guess what mandatory military briefing we had recently?

The briefing got in-depth about the decibel level of noises where hearing range occurs. A certain range of decibels is in the higher pitches, and the examples given were things like lawn mowers. Men will tend to lose acuity in the ranges that are in that decibel wavelength. The inference is that it is close to the higher pitch of the (average) woman's voice, which is why guys develop "husband hearing" (as my wife calls it). I remain unconvinced. One reason why I ditched my lawn and went with native-plant xeriscaping is because I really hate lawnmower noises, and my wife's voice is nowhere near comparable.

I think I have more hearing damage from the unholy squawks emanating from temperamental radios, but that's just me.

Maybe a hearing test will clear it all up?
Hearing test humor coming soon! Have a good week!
