EMPIRES: Born to be Sold!
Added 2025-10-17 16:41:19 +0000 UTCI was recently contacted by someone who wanted to purchase some of my old Empires original art-- this was the stuff from the 1990's version, the one where the aliens were turned into various furry Terrestrial animals, anthropomorphics, since the fanzine that was interested in printing them was a "furry" fanzine and that was an editorial request on their part as a condition for publication. I have posted the entire story here before; if you look for "Empires" (and, I think, "Classic Comics") tags, you should find them readily enough.
I am in the process of rebooting the series and you may have noticed a lot of my posting here lately has reflected this. Empires and BOHICA Blues are probably my two most important flagship productions. But I am trying to fundraise to get Empires relaunched eventually, and if people are interested and willing to buy my old original art, then so much the better! It is taking up space in my tiny office and it is unlikely I will need the originals since they have all been scanned and saved in multiple backup locations in digital format.
So if anyone is interested, I will start posting Empires art for sale, beginning with originals from "Book 1", which will include Chapters 1 through 10.
Pricing is as follows:
Ordinary Story Pages: $25.00
Dramatic Full-Page or Most-Of-Page action and/or character sequences: $35.00
Cover Pages (i.e., "Empires" "Ace of Spades" "Morrigan's War"): - $45.00
Paper: my original work was done on Academie Sketch Paper (hey, I was a serious amateur) and so it is pretty much like ordinary floppy paper but slightly thicker. I later switched to a 60lb. smooth Bristol, but that didn't last long and by Book 2 I had switched to what carried me through the rest of the series-- 90lb. Strathmoor Smooth Bristol.
All of Book 1 is on either Academie Sketch or 60lb Bristol.
Let me know if you want them signed, and if so, where (front, back, a particular corner, etc). Signing doesn't affect the price.

This is all just from Book 1, and more stuff from books 2 through 4 will be posted in the weeks to come.

Yes, I am trying to get the ball rolling on that, specifically. I am sitting on potential sales that just need to be organized and printed. I did some of the work --pages scanned and trimmed-- but there is still some heavy lifting to do.
