If you'd like to help with corrections we'll be happy to give you rewards from other tiers (Once in beta, we'll check everything but right now chapter 2 texts are about 300 Word pages so help it's appreciated). Just, if you decide to help us with corrections, don't take it too serious. If you find mistakes here and there while playing and you want to tell us it's fine, but review everything in search for mistakes it's too much work and we would not like to put you on that situation for so little reward. We share your concerns and even, as you said, the game is male-oriented, we put effort on make something which can be enjoyed from more points of view and of course not misogynist (there is dominant roles but we try to keep it not exclusive of one gender and always trying to show that everyone is enjoying). In the case of U53ful 1dio7 images, it could because maybe we didn't transmitted correctly all the mood instructions for the events. Even so, it should be no problem because several months ago, I think still was 2017, U53ful 1d1o7 as well as Xanazz, stopped working on images for the events of the game. For some time, there was complains about the game having three different art styles. In our opinion it was fine to have more style, and helped a lot to the development because of the massive amount of images it need but obviously not everyone thought the same. We opened a poll here in patreon to ask if the three artist should still work on the in-game images or if only Root should work on it. It won the only Root option and since then all images have been done by him. U53ful 1d1iot still work but only on battle sketches and exclusive arts, sometimes on items or ragdolls for the interface. In future we'll be more precise for instructions of the art commissioned to keep the lighthearted mood of the game even if it's not going to be part of the events. Thanks for the reminder to keep an eye on this things (which is not always easy in the matters of kinks and fetishes :P)

2018-08-09 16:10:33 +0000 UTCOk guys... Nobody seems to be saying it out loud, so taking the risk of creating an unpleasant situation, I'm gonna say it... The whole art in Elana: Champion of Lust is special because it has a very unique style, different from "standard erotic art" in so many ways... First there is the fantasy style and the strong statement that it DOES NOT try to be realistic in any way (doesn't try to look like photography or depict 'realistic human figures')... Then there is this approach to sexual content which I think is, albeit obviously sexual and objectified, not exceedingly misogynistic and has its way of giving the art some life of its own... it blends with the story and the thematic of Elana herself, that is to say it looks like people are indeed having fun while exploring their sexuality... This is in fact what makes it the most pleasant for me... the fact that it is not some "brainless uncompromised generic erotic art", but instead has a very strong identity and is beautifully created in a mix of eroticism, fantasy and fun/delightful curiosity of characters... All this of course is on Root's hands... I mean WHAT AN ARTIST, for god's sake! Ever since U53ful 1d1o7 has become part of the team, however, the game has been increasingly filled with a kind of erotic art that, in my humble opinion, is definitely not what Elana: Champion of Lust is! I am not questioning U53ful 1d1o7's competence as an artist, nor do I ever mean to do that. What I do think he's been doing poorly though, is producing a kind of erotic art which has a completely unrelated style to that of the game as a whole and Root's very, very hard and careful and thoughtful work. I mean, the aesthetics are so very much different that when you're playing through the game and one of his drawings pop up they stand out starkly for their incompatibility with the game as whole! His characters seem all greasy with some kind of wax and stuck inbetween aesthetics, halfway between realistic drawing and the fantasy/cartoonish style. Apart from that, his depictions of the people within the game are very "porn-like" in the sense that women are always donning "I am an object of your pleasure" facial expressions (JUST LOOK AT THAT NUN'S FACE), and some other set of qualities which end up producing VERY MISOGYNISTIC art, which is definitely not the game's overall style (I mean, of course this is a male-oriented game, but I honestly think that Root's art is erotic regardless of gender because the characters seem to have this "curious fun attitude" which heavily deconstructs objectification and misoginy to a certain extent...) So I think that, all due respect, the bad thing about Useful Idiot's art is this: that it's degrading the quality of the game as a whole , both in the aesthetic sense and in the concept of the eroticism within the game (it's making the game look like just some other random stupid porn game)... And this is terrible because Elana is a WONDERFUL game! It's really one of the very few games I've come across that develops an interesting story around its eroticism and the art (Root's art!) TRANSLATES THIS INTO AESTHETICS.... So please if you feel sympathetic with my concerns, try to do something about it... either make useful idiot's art blend more into the game's aesthetics/concept/philosophy or, really, no disrespect intended, find another artist who is willing to learn and blend into Root's style... Because everytime I'm playing and Useful Idiot's art comes up I feel a little sad for the game... It is such a wonderful game with some heartfelt art, and this ready-made porn aesthetic of his is doing a very good job at ruining the game and pushing towards the realm of "generic porn-imitation flash games"... I'm only saying this because I really love the game. Please don't get me wrong... I don't mean to hurt Useful Idiot or anything like that. I'm just trying to participate and express my opinion as a patron because I really care for this game and would like it do develop to its full potential. Best regards, y'all Jishojo
