New Music - Studies in Red Hotness

Inspired in two ways: first is the general tongue-and-cheek quality of the main theme and groove that starts at 0:20. Whenever I hear the opening minute of My Red Hot Car, I find myself making funny faces and bobbing my head in the most ridiculous ways
Secondly is with how drum and bass music is technically created and sampled. I was always curious how all the electronic manipulation is done in Squarepusher’s tracks, particularly in the drums. Turns out, it’s much simpler than I thought and mostly uses the manipulation of recorded drum tracks with minimal sound design.
In my track, the drums are mostly from Myriad3’s track Tell, beat mapped, manipulated, reversed, and more. The original tools that cause glitching, stuttering, stretching, and other tape effects in Squarepusher’s music aren’t available to me. But I found an effect plugin that recreates all these things quite well. Aptly named, Glitch 2.
