I’ll post my proper, considered thoughts on this when I’ve woken up but as I’ve said previously, I’m so happy you’ve reacted to this. I was 12/13 when this came out and it was such a massive first stepping stone to coming to terms with my own sexuality. Apart from the living in Brighton part, my teenage life was eerily similar to Kim’s and I felt so seen by this show. It’s wonderful, albeit originally written and devised by a not so wonderful woman.
