Pregnant Sue - Part 2
Added 2022-01-10 12:00:06 +0000 UTCNovember was such a lovely time of year. There starts to get a crispness in the air, and everyone can feel the holiday season coming right around the corner. For Sue it meant she was officially in her 8th month of pregnancy.
Her pregnancy had been going well, but this close to the end she started to realize her limitations, and so did her OBGYN. 12 hours as a nurse working the floor at the hospital might have not been the best stress to be putting on the baby at this time. So Sue, with the help of her boss, agreed to have her transition to a more administrative role until her baby was born and then she could come back as a clinical nurse.
Sue was ecstatic about the change. This was a golden opportunity to show her leadership skills, and possibly help her advance to shift leader the next time the position presented itself. But the other major benefit was not having to be on her feet all the time, and boy howdy that was a relief. The reason it was so relieving was because the pregnancy pounds seemed to be only coming faster this month.
Sue spent most of her shift at the nurses station now. The month had only just started when she saw her co-worker Megan headed her way with a large basket. As Megan got closer she could see the basket was filled with muffins. "Oh Megan, that's so nice of you." Sue cooed.
"These aren't from me baby girl, nice to think you believe me to be so generous though." Megan replied. "No, these are from the Cortez family that was here last week. People get really extra thankful around this time of year." Sue was filled with the warm and fuzzies. It was so nice to be appreciated by patients this way. It was totally not necessary, but still all the nurses worked so hard, this was a really sweet gesture. Also Sue was really excited to have a muffin, they looked really good.
Megan placed the basket on the counter behind Sue, and left to round on her patients. With no one else around to dig into this basket, Sue figured she should do the honors. Folding back the thick cellophane, Sue grabbed a blueberry muffin, one of her favorites. And she was right about their quality, it was really good. Riding a muffin high, Sue's morning went by with a delightful smile on her face. One muffin wasn't enough though, considering there were so many more flavors other than blueberry. She has to try cinnamon and of course chocolate chip, there was even a really tasty pumpkin muffin.
By lunchtime Sue wasn't even sure she was hungry, she had enjoyed a nice smattering of muffins. But the muffins were only the start. The next day a cookie basket arrived from a happy patient, and the next week it was a chocolate dipped fruit basket. It seemed like every day or so something new was arriving, always finding a home right behind Sue. Sue's pregnancy appetite was out of control and she couldn't help but enjoy a little, or a lot, of something from each delivery.
As Thanksgiving approached Sue was looking excessively round, mostly due to being so far along in her pregnancy, but also due to all her excess calories. Sue had found a new favorite administrative attire now that she had outgrown all her scrubs. She loved wearing black pants with a purple button up top over a white tank.
Her pregnant belly had gotten so big though that she couldn't button most of the bottom buttons. It was ok though, she thought her belly sticking out, still covered by the white tank, looked cute. Another sticking point were her growing love handles, they had only gotten thicker and rounder, now melting right into her curvaceous hips and thighs. Sue's pants fit just fine, but no matter the top, something was always snug. Quite often it was the tank she wore under her button down. Sue enjoyed that it covered her belly tightly, it felt like she was supporting her baby even more so. But that didn't stop the exposed tank from puckering and looking tight.
It wasn't just the bottom buttons that wouldn't clasp on her shirt, the top ones couldn't either. Sue's milk jugs had continued their expansion, due to pregnancy and all those empty calories. Those fleshy orbs in front of her face had only gotten bigger, and harder to corral. As mentioned, her favorite purple top couldn't button over them anymore like it had at the beginning of the month. The only button she could clasp was right under her bosom, and it was only a matter of time until that was no longer the case. Clasping that single button only served to squish those round jugs together even more, pushing them up and out.
Sue was very pleased with her transformation, she was feeling very womanly and motherly. With her pregnancy coming close to an end, she had never felt closer to her baby. She was going to be a new mother, and couldn't be happier. This whole month had made her feel great. Her patients had all been so kind and generous, her feminine curves were getting even more pronounced, and she had bonded even more with her baby to come.
Thanksgiving was only a couple days away, and Sue was going to take a few days to enjoy being at home with family before the final month of the year and the final month of her pregnancy arrived. Sue was thankful for all that had come leading up to this, and was excited for the weeks to come. Soon her baby would be here, in her arms.
Before Sue left for her last shift of the month she stopped by the hospital cafeteria for a quick snack. Everything was normal, but that was until she noticed one of the meal stations. A big punch bowl of eggnog and spiral cut ham. It was going to be Christmas season, Sue's favorite, which meant plenty of opportunities to enjoy holiday cuisine. She was now happier than ever.
