Added 2020-08-29 18:33:18 +0000 UTCHi Guys. a quick update. As you know I'm now in the middle of Pornspective 1.8 where I'll introduce other media types that are not file based i.e. DVD library. I'm also modifying the engine to not edit filenames as an option for you to control.
First things first though, when adding media you'll need a hand, espcially DVDs where I can't scan them directly for screenshots etc. So I've now wired in a plugin for a well known adult dvd website and grabbing the information and artwork from the site directly into Pornspective. This includes useful data such as synopsis, taglines, release dates and even links to online trailers! What's great about this though is I'm not just restricting it to offline media, even your movies and scenes in digital file format can also add this artwork and metadata so it'll enrich even your current collection.
Everything is coming along nicely. I've still got some bugs to fix and need to make sure the change in editing filename logic hasn't broken anything. This is step one though guys, I want to get the engine and core right, step two (probably 1.8.1) I'll be making more views that show the artwork and info off much better. Still on target though to release 1.8 in early September. Watch this space guys!
