Oh man- I can imagine thatโs true! I guess I have a tendency to romanticize my small- town days because I know having everyone know your business can be V ANNOYING lol. But hang in there! Hopefully once the culture shock subsides youโll enjoy your new neighbors... as long as theyโre not named Gideon! ๐ฑ
2018-03-16 07:05:56 +0000 UTCActually, I'm from a suburb, but I just moved to a small town now... and the "everybody knows everybody" vibe is really rough on a transplant. For one, you feel like everyone's prying into your business, which you're completely NOT used to at all, and for another, you get the outsider feeling because the one person no one knows... is you. That said, my town is very welcoming and I know that they mean well, trying to integrate me. Hopefully someday I'll let my guards down enough to explain things like... the origin of my nickname, perhaps. ;)
