She-Ra Episode 7 part 2--In the Shadows of Mystacor!

I liked that. That episode had a very natural-feeling arc to it, a tone, a mood that shifted slowly and rose smoothly into the climax. It had strong writing, as well, something I was a bit disappointed about in System Failure. I like that they focused in on Shadow Weaver as an abusive mother figure--I couldn’t relate very strongly to it, but it did a good job getting me to understand and empathize with the situation.

I’m intrigued by the sword’s new form. I didn’t realize these weapons took different forms. I wonder what else it can turn into? Obviously it’s got more secrets than just that, too. I wonder when we’re going to get a look at them next.

In the Shadows of Mystacor comes in at my new #1 for the series, displacing The Sword Part 1 as my favorite episode. This was just a really strong episode. I liked it a lot.

Up next liveblogwise is going to be the first of the Patron Picks for the month--I’ll be doing the first half of Paranoia Agent episode 8 on Wednesday. Once I finish with the Patron Picks, by the way, I’ll be getting back to She-Ra--I’ve neglected this show for far too long, and I want to get in a solid run of episodes before I go back to doing Infinity Train.
