Oh, man, I’m so excited. We’re getting ready to leave! We’re actually going to go on the expedition before the end of the show after all! There’s still the matter of dealing with Megumi, though. From what I can tell, she’s hurt–Mari’s suddenly thrown herself into something without including her best friend, and it’s brought her new friends, exciting prospects, and an incoming adventure–none of which Megumi gets to be a part of. That definitely hurts, when that happens with your best friend! I’m sure there’s an element of being the “Big Sister”, like she said, as well–Mari’s always looked up to Megumi and relied on her, and now…now she doesn’t seem to need to anymore.
I’m sure Megumi feels left behind. We’ll see how she and Mari handle it.
