NWO Units Poll and general status update

You may have noticed a lack of updates to the Youtube and twitter channel the past few weeks. Unfortunately I have been caught up in some other business, and didn't really have a whole lot to show off that wouldn't just be rehashing existing content. I have made some steady progress with some new structures, though nothing really worth of a video demonstration. I also am realizing I am going to have to do another pass over existing structures, to get them to conform to the new pipe system.


First off, the poll:

While I have talked about three factions existing in the game, one currently only has a tiny handful of units actually functional ingame. You might recognize a few of them.


Since this faction - currently dubbed NWO, or Collective, until I come up with a more concrete name - barely has any content currently, I think it's fitting to add additional working units to them to balance out the game's roster so far, especially because people keep asking about this third faction. While I have a more substantial description to create later, the gist of this faction is that they are technically more advanced than the other two factions, relying on superb technology and elite fighting forces, at the expense of numbers, and their units typically exchange armor and staying power for firepower.

I've also held off on creating any base buildings for them so far, due to the way this faction is to be played; rather than purely static buildings, this faction's structures will be semi-mobile, able to walk around the map and redeploy (think the Terran structures from Starcraft, except they walk instead of fly).

Thus for the community poll and what you guys would like to see, you can decide on whether you'd like to see more vehicles for them, or more infantry units. 


Now as for a general status update:



You may recall the conveyers from the last update - these pipes work similarly, moving fuel resources from structure to structure. While this logic isn't fully implemented yet, this screenshot should give you a semblance of an idea of their intended purpose.


You may notice the bunker-like structures, the gun towers, and that bottom render all share the same base structure. That is because these bunkers - which will server to increase the population cap if more are built - have secondary functionality of being defensive bunkers that can have infantry garrisoned inside, be upgraded into a larger bunker that can fit additional infantry (and even a field gun, as seen in the bottom render), and at a high enough tech level, can construct those giant gun turrets seen above.

As always I'm trying to continue working on some additional base structures and on reworks of some existing ones. And hopefully, more work on additional units will mean some more preview videos I can post to twitter and youtube.

If NWO sacrifices 'armor and staying power for firepower' does that mean Warband AND NWO are the 'fragile' factions or is NWO more in the 'balanced' category with more tankiness than Warband but less than Empire?
