2024-12-17 09:56:07 +0000 UTCI wonder if Clara might consider arranging for the footage from Galant Venture to get leaked to the public? As it is, Wyatt is an unknown for the nobles, which means they'll keep trying to involve Wyatt in their schemes. Clara was able to use Wyatt's ignorance of the noble society to trick Felicity, but that's not a trick she can keep relying on every time. It would be much safer, especially for Wyatt, if people were too afraid of him (or at least stopped underestimating him) to try crafting schemes involving him. Also the way Wyatt didn't simply kill everyone he encountered, but only those who opposed him, and even showed mercy to some could also help in the future, where people aware of his actions/reputation might choose to retreat or just surrender rather than facing him. Having opposition simply melt away in his path by his sheer presence would be entertaining. The way Felicity and the other two acted during the whole ordeal could also be used to hurt the reputations of their families, as well as reflect poorly on the Duke, since he put Felicity in charge of that force. In fact Clara could make sure rumors spread around the general population of how the Prince, despite his limited resources, sent forces to deal with the Drazzan threat, but the Duke's people interfered. There could even be whispers of the Duke intentionally letting Drazzan do their thing, in hopes of it hurting those loyal to the Prince more than his own people. In the end, unless either the Duke or the Prince choose to escalate the situation into an outright civil war, this whole thing will be won through public opinion. The powerful houses that have chosen to remain neutral for the time being might change their stance based on who their subjects favor (no one wants to deal with unrest or riots after all). They can probably get the same deal from either side, so they are likely waiting for a good opportunity to negotiate better terms, or to make sure they are joining the winning side. Also the Duke's people fired the first shot by spreading that fake recording.

This is just the best sci-fi series I've ever heard, the consistency this far along with the characters keeps me thoroughly engaged with the story where with most I'd begin losing interest by now.

Showing the "commoner" as being more noble and honorable than the other nobles makes for a perfect story. And as a reward maybe give Wyatt his own custom fighter? Now, I'm just back to waiting for the next chapter and wanting more and more. Maybe we can get a series on one of the big streaming services. Oh, how about a game based on the story?
