Warning: Steam Will Auto-update Skyrim SE
Added 2021-10-12 18:18:55 +0000 UTCBethesda plans to use Steam to auto-update your Skyrim SE to Skyrim's 10-year Anniversary Edition (AE). They haven't changed the game functionally but they recompiled it using a newer compiler. The result is that the game engine's code will be technically different at a low level.
This update will break SKSE and all mods that rely on it, which is most of the plugins you think are good. These mods will be broken for somewhere between days and forever depending on the mod author.
I highly recommend you don't allow your game to be updated. Don't launch your game via Steam. Don't let Steam update your game. Backup the EXE, INI, and DLL files in your Skyrim directory. If you allow your game to be updated and don't have a backup, we won't be able to help you get your mods working again.
My Affected Mods: BBLS SKSE64 Patch, OVoice, OPrivacy, Migal's Outfit Dialogues.
More information can be found in my discord and other Skyrim discords. Take care of your game so you aren't Skyrim-less during the holidays!
