Thoughts on Early Access
Added 2021-07-29 21:04:59 +0000 UTCI have learned that Patreon is taking a big chunk of your donations and using it to pay sales taxes around the world as if I am selling you digital assets. I struggle to understand this because thus far, I have only sold early access to assets that will become free to the public three weeks later. In a sense, all my Tier 2 patrons are paying to be beta testers for a future product released to the public for free. I assumed this was a service and therefore not applicable to sales tax, at least not in the US. It would appear I was wrong.
Knowing I'll pay sales tax at Tier 2 makes me consider my options. And so we have another poll. This one is for all patrons, but not the public. We know how the public would answer this one.

Poll is over now and I have made it public so the community can see what my patrons did for them.

BBLS has always been a fixture of my game, and while you may re-release your old mods on your own website, I would hate to see the majority miss out on your new work. That being said, I think there's nothing wrong with having a few Tier 2/3 exclusives, just to keep patrons excited.
