An Experiment

Since everyone seems to be playing around with AI art these days, I thought I'd give it a whirl and see what I could come up with. Bear in mind that I have no idea what I'm doing with this thing. After a couple of false starts, though, I was able to generate the image attached to this post, depicting a "sorcerer summoning a demon in a darkened chamber lit only by glowing braziers." All things considered, it turned out pretty well, though I'll need to play with it more in order to generate images that have the right look for sha-Arthan.

“Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.” "What were they thinking when the machines were thinking for them?" Frank Herbert, re: the Butlerian Jihad

Unfortunately, it does not or, if it does, I can find no indication of it. I have the same worry FWIW, which is why I'd likely never make use of this in a published product, but the potential is nevertheless quite remarkable.

Does the AI output give you any indication how close these are to the original(s)? Or what the source material is? I've been curious about the AI art, and the potential it holds for small creators to illustrate their own work, but have a nagging concern whether it's copying somebody's work too directly.
