Alchemy has got to be one of my favourite crafting mechanics in games as a whole. At its core it really captures a sense of wonder and wild experimentation. You never quite know what you’re going to get each time. Good potion brewing / alchemy mechanics in my opinion always have random elements involved, aspects prone to change. But slowly you will piece together recipes which enable you to reduce unpredictability from your process, should you desire to do so.
But- aren’t those random elements where the magic of alchemy truly lies?
These are the aspects that make you truly feel like a mad scientist when you start potion brewing.
I hope you enjoy this
