How long have you been playing D&D? Are you usually a player or DM?

Oh wow! You're from 3.5! Haha nice! I think I joined in shortly after 4e came out. But even before that I was playing my own version of dnd before I knew what dnd was xD (I was reading one of the chapters of the original Yu-Gi-Oh manga and they play a similar game in that) and I was like "Whaaaat?! That's a real game?" I had always felt like a game like that existed out there, but never new where it was and how to get my hands on it xD Aw I honestly would love to experience Eberron, it seems like such a cool setting! I have nothing against your sheltie comments uwu they are always welcome haha and Blue is flattered by them xD Oh wow! Nice! How do you find tale foundry? And daaamn haha we'll have to colab when you get your channel off the ground ;D Very exciting

2023-11-29 16:10:11 +0000 UTCDefinitely agree with you in terms of coming together and creating a story with friends. Its honest and innocent fun, very similar to playing pretend with friends as a kid. There’s not many hobbies that achieve the kind of fun that D&D can.

I went to get my first phb, and the game store owner was like "yeah, hold off for a few weeks and you'll get the newest book." played in several groups since. Currently, I'm DM'ing an eberron game. We started at level 1 and am now at 15. I've got the campaign sketched out to level 20, with an epilogue. I am enjoying the channel. I know I'm always commenting on Blue, but who can blame me? Shelties are just that awesome! But seriously, I enjoy your takes and as the other person commented, kinda a handcrafted feel. This Christmas, I'm planning on revamping my foundry vtt server, and hoping to start some paid DMing gigs as a side job, and hoping to run a few campaigns. I'm also launching my own YouTube channel at the start of the year.

2023-11-29 13:58:22 +0000 UTCHi all, Ike here! I've been playing D&D for 8 or 9 years now and I don't think I'll ever have enough! I've done my fair share of DMing, although lately I love to be on the players' side of the table. I've personally been really enjoying the direction of the channel. It feels very personal and hand crafted. (If those aren't the right words please feel free to let me know what adjectives you all are thinking!) I always have questions for D&D enthusiasts! So I'm curious. I'd love to hear from out big goblin, but I wouldn't mind responses from anybody else as well: What is your favorite part/ thing/ aspect about D&D. Personally, I've always loved reading and writing so the idea of a collaborative story with characters that I grow attached to and a reality that I take part in giving meaning to has just always been right up my alley. As for Christmas plans, I plan to spend time with family. I'm thinking this year we'll try hosting a gingerbread house competition or something similar!
