It's fanfic, you can do whatever you want. I made Baron Mabry a Dalek for one of my fanfics. Assuming there is still a maid called "Sally" is very mild by comparison.

I prefer the idea that caroline, though very much a boundary pushing somewhat self indulgent writer, is at least firm in her stance she’s not writing a problematic sex scene (contractually obligated hanky panky feels icky in my book)

Huh...I'm honestly not sure which version of episode 12 I like better. I kinda want to see how both directions turn out.

I love being able to see (part of) the process. Things that stayed, things that went, tweaks and refinements - and the occasional 180^ turn as well..

Yes, I had basically the whole of Series 3 and Series 4 planned out and then I got to these ones and went...no. No, that doesn't work, and now I need to rewrite half of Series 4 (not the Rosamund stuff, for the most part, but the Caroline stuff) :D

Series 4 originally started with Rosamund doing the mother of all call-outs on Caroline, specifically her tendency to live vicariously through her characters instead of taking risks in her own life, but...we went a different way to a similar destination.
