FLEXI Axolotl + Baby EARLY ACCESS

Hey everyone!

Starting to roll out the subscriber suggestion poll winners this month, and the flexi winner was the axolotl! I know this is one y'all have been asking for for a loooong time, so he's finally here! I think he turned out super cute and floppy and fidgety.

Filament is D3D skin and hand painted. Multicolor 3MF file plus keychain and non-keychain versions of baby included.

Print recs:

2-3 walls

5-15% infill

No supports

Add brim if needed

I hope y'all like them! Side note that I'm recovering from surgery this week so I may not be at my computer as much and may be a bit slower to respond to messages and things, but I will get back to you as soon as I can! <3

Thanks so much for all your support <3

I really like this more realistic axilotl. I've got tons of goofy ones.

I use craft acrylics and if they're thicker that helps them not spread into the layer lines! Paint pens/markers usually have a thinner consistency so even though they're easier to apply, they don't stay in place as well. I make sure to load up my brush pretty well to apply in a smooth stroke :)

Very nice Axys! Since you hand paint highlights on almost everything, I'll ask (I'm sure others will want to know too). How do you prevent the paint from running down the grain of the filament? I've tried paint and acrylic marker highlighting so many times but every time the colour runs so badly I've given up every time. But you manage to get nice straight lines, and this guy is a good example. What's your advice?
