One time I asked a Nurse Practitioner about a patients diet, she looked at me with such pure disgust like I was nothing then she said to me , rolling her eyes. "I'm not a nurse." Just the way the nurses treated me has left a bitter taste, and I don't trust medical professionals like I use to, not after the crap I heard them talk about the patients at the nurses stations and not after how they treated me as less than human. Its the reason I am in the medical field now, to look after people who look at like me ( black and people of color) I won't treat them like those snobby nurses treated me when I was dietary.
