Remember when i talked about some One Time OCs?
Well, here's the previews for Trixie.
These are mostly done, but i'm losing steam on them so, i thought i'd share them here (2 at a time, hopefully throughout the month) to get your impressions on them first.
It'll also give you a little bit of an idea of the format i'm going for.
These won't be standard comics the way i usually draw them. Some will be comic styles (like this one), but others may be more text, fewer images.
There's no real theme, or similarities between any two comics. But just a way for me to draw different Damsels In Distress, because, honestly, i like coming up with new stories and new characters.
But i understand nobody wants to see an ever increasing roster of OCs from me. So to keep them segregated, these are just 'one off' damsels.
Think of them as an anthology of Short DID Stories.
And who knows? if some are popular, maybe they'll get multiple installments (but we'll see; it really depends if i have a story for them).
Anyway..
As a little background to this comic:
In this world, witches (always female) and magic exist, but have been driven underground to protect the non-magic folk among us. Because it's irresponsible to teach magic to kids, young witches don't begin their magic studies until after completing "muggle schooling" (ie, after high school).
Meet Trixie. An 18 year old witch just starting out on her magic journey. She has all the problems any 18 year old has, including an endlessly long "Enemies" list. What's an average girl to do?
Nothing.
But thankfully, Trixie is no average girl. She's an all powerful witch! Or at least, one day she will be. And then her enemies are going to pay!
These pages aren't finished of course. There'll be some dialog tweaks and maybe text bubbles put in and panelling. All small stuff. But i thought i'd give you guys a chance to read them over first. Let me know what you think. And that'll determine if/when i post them for others to read.
There may also be some "paragraph text" to accompany each page / panel. Stuff that would normally be in prose, like the inner reflections of a character's mind, etc.
So, what do you think?
