TBH, I assume most aren't good faith, but I try to at least make the appearance of treating them in good faith, because at least that way I can actually try to deal with the issues underlying it and may convince someone. Bad faith argumentation is a much harder issue to break down, and requires a much longer video that I want to do eventually.

2021-02-18 08:36:24 +0000 UTCIt is very, _very_ hard for me to assume good faith in people who compare Gina Carano to say, Ray Fisher. IMHO it's the same breed that wants to "keep politics out of games/film/(insert other media)", and labels any politics they don't particular like as 'activism', while they think the (white supremacist, transphobic, sexist, capitalist, poor-hating and generally cruel) status quo to be 'unpolitical'. It's a mindset I will always find baffling. If you think that people's right to food and shelter is debatable, or that basic rights of trans, intersex, LGB people or other minorities are debatable, or that people of colour's right to not get murdered by police is debatable, then sorry, this is not 'just politics'. Basic human decency isn't up for debate; if those are your views, you are a terrible person and I don't want to associate with you. *shrugs*
