UPDATE: Eisner Awards and more

Hello my darling Patrons,

It’s been a super busy month! I recently traveled to San Diego Comic Con for the Eisner Awards, which was a really huge thing for me. I was nominated for an Eisner once before, but due to COVID, there wasn’t a ceremony that year.

The ceremony was massive! I felt like I was at the Oscars. I wound up not winning for either category I was nominated in, but honestly—I was kind of relieved because I was so scared to make a speech in that huge auditorium, hahaha. Plus, I will be attending the Reuben Awards in September, so there will be another chance at winning!

I’m now back at my desk and writing more comics for the new book. I have shared a new book one just for Patrons here in this update :)

I am planning on doing another comics survivor specifically for secret book comics--I apologize as I wanted to post it today to hit the July Patron deadline but will likely have to post it tomorrow night or Wednesday morning. I just got back from traveling unfortunately and am just a touch frazzled, I sincerely apologize.

Another note: you may notice some of my comics may have a different, slightly more texturized appearance. This is due to them being "glazed", which is protection from A.I. The first edition of Glaze didn't work so well for simple styles, but with the new update, I'm really excited to be able to protect my work.
