The biggest challenge for the fences was to get the texture right. In real life they are basically a lot of thin black lines. Combine that with the black (or any) background in a texture and it can come become an unreadable pixel porridge very fast.
When doing research I quickly was fond of designs with lots of spikes. So in the end I decided to create this pattern for the fence. After the first test prints I am very happy with the look. Even from a distance the pattern and details holds up and is well readable.
The fences will come in two versions. Either as full iron wrought parts or with these stone bases as shown in the pic. You can get an idea of the full pattern in the pics of the gates here.

These are the narrow and wide gate. Each element can be placed with a base like paper minis or will join via these connecting posts. These prototypes I have just glued but the final design will allow for slotting the fence parts into the connectors.
I now have all the main parts designed for the graveyard. I will now start to finish them all, add all missing colors schemes, weathering etc. and start to get them production ready.
What's the mini, you ask? It's the great "Demon Slayer Half Elf" by Printable Heroes (also here on Patreon)!
That's it for today! Until next time, have fun and keep building :-)
