Thanks to how well you tackled this series and the Zero series, it gives me a better grasp on what I'd be in for if I do decide to give them a go. Excellent work as always Johnny!

2023-02-18 02:46:48 +0000 UTCDespite the flaws ZX1 has. It's one of my favorite games of all time. My version of X1 in terms of enjoyment basically. The level system gives me a reason to get better at the game, along with learning stronger combos on bosses instead of roll slashing like a goofball. For me every area stands out and when repaying it, going from one area to the next is 2nd nature. The story (Along with Zero's) while simple, really clicked with me on a personal level at a time where I was at my lowest. The OST is so GOATed on top of the enhanced ZX Tunes tracks. I've played the original (Thx to my New 2Ds), the Legacy Collection on Switch, and again recently on PS4. While it saddened me that you didn't enjoy it as much as the Zero games. I couldn't be happier that you played and reviewed the ZX series. Also, If Garou 2 can come out of cancellation 20+ years after their first game. Then I will hold on to hope for ZX3/C being a thing again! (Though X9 should happen first before that)

The og ZX seems like something I should check out at some point, but here’s hoping we get a ZX3 sometime in the next 20XX years so we can finally get a Mega Man game with GOOD Metroidvania level design.
