Sanctuary in Time is a text-based, adult game with sci-fi & RPG elements! Your father's just been murdered. He was the God of Time. Now, it's your turn! Save damsels from dark corners of history; train them as warriors, courtesans, or workers. Build your forces. Expand & upgrade your citadel. And survive the enemies that seek your death!

Mature content warning: Sanctuary in Time is a game intended for mature audiences of 18 years of age or older. This game contains frank depictions of nudity, sex, violence, and death in a text-based format (i.e. no images/visual depictions). By proceeding, you acknowledge that you are 18 years of age or older, and that playing this game does not violate any laws or regulations in your territory.

System Requirements:

· Windows 8.1 or newer.

Installation Instructions:

1. Download the compressed ZIP file to your desktop.

2. Unpack the compressed ZIP file.

· On Windows 10: Find the downloaded file on your Desktop and select it, then right-click on it and choose ‘Extract All....’ A new window will appear asking you where to extract the contents of the ZIP file. Simply click the ‘Extract’ button at the bottom, and the contents of the new, decompressed folder will be placed in the same location as the original compressed file.

3. Open the new, uncompressed folder.

4. Double-click on the executable file, titled ‘Sanctuary in Time.exe’

5. Have fun!

6. If you receive an “unknown app” or “unknown publisher” warning from Windows upon launching the program, simply do the following to get past it:

· Click “more info...” near the top of the pop-up window. This should reveal an option to “Run Anyway”. Click that button, and the game should run as normal. This message can appear sometimes if the publisher of the software is not a large, well-known company.

Transferring Save / Settings Files:

Save files from previous versions of the game should be compatible w/ the new version. Here's how to bring them over:

1. Open the folder containing the previous version of Sanctuary in Time. It should be titled Sanctuary_in_Time_previous_version_number.

2. Find the SAVES folder located inside. Copy the entire folder and its contents by selecting the folder and then right-clicking on it and choosing ‘Copy’.

3. Open the (uncompressed) folder containing the new version of Sanctuary in Time. It should be titled Sanctuary_in_Time_new_version_number.

4. Right-click inside this folder and choose ‘Paste.’ If no SAVES folder is present for the new version of the game (because no save files have yet been created), the copied folder will install automatically. But if a SAVES folder is present, you may need to confirm to allow the old folder to overwrite the new folder.

5. Your old save files should now be available to load! Just click the Load Game option when you launch the new version of Sanctuary in Time.

6. ADDENDUM: You can do the same with the SETTINGS folder, if you desire. This is where your selections for Narrative Text Size & App Window Size are stored.
