2022-09-02 02:12:24 +0000 UTCJP has always been an advocate of male authoritarianism and the maintenance of the rule of the powerful over the weak. Conservatism inherently is. Usually, he is smart enough to hide it "being a quiet, reasonable intellectual, trying to help confused young men". When he leaks his views too openly, it's probably either accidentally or a dog whistle. I think Drew is right that his fans won't notice or get affirmed by it. Which is true for all people who strongly need a group identity, which is something JP provides to his followers. People who make an issue out of it might be ridiculed and cast out of the group, so they probably won't. JP is safe.
