It’s almost like watching a stage performance. The behind the scenes to this on YouTube is amazing how they went to one set to another.

Random comment: You mentioned E.T. during the Gremlins reaction, which reminded me that the father (younger version) in Hill House is the same actor who played the main kid (Elliot) in E.T. He also played the younger brother (RIP) in Legends of the Fall if you recall that reaction. I think you asked about his eyes a couple of times in previous episodes. He's wearing colored contacts to match the older version of the father, which is why they look so strange. He actually has pretty dark brown eyes.
