The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 11
Added 2025-03-30 08:33:39 +0000 UTC"So, I guess this wraps it up?"
"Indeed. As per the new agreement, Eukaris will provide the necessary resources to the forges of Caminus in exchange for their Synthetic Energon to power us. As an addition, we will help Caminus set up their own Space Bridge should Maximus succeed in activating our Space Bridge. Of course, the construction will have to be carried out by you, Lady Chela, since we do not have such knowledge."
"Agreed, Child of the Sky. I will uphold your agreement with the Standard Formers should the Thread Weaver succeed in activating our Space Bridge with his so-called Synthetic Energon."
I felt the relief crash into my systems at the Titan's words. Seriously, these Beastformers can be a real pain to negotiate with when they are so divided among themselves and each of the tribe leaders only cares about what benefits their tribe would gain.
Then again, we were the same during the Golden Age. How I failed to see Sentinel's corruption even back then is a mystery to me to this day. Perhaps it had something to do with how I still saw him as a dear friend back then.
It was precisely because of how Sentinel and his council exploited all the colonies that Titans like Chela are so distrustful of bots from Cybertron.
It was only because of Blackarachnia's intervention that Chela had not blown my ship out of the sky when we first arrived on Eukaris all those years ago.
"Then it is settled."
As we got up and prepared to leave the massive cave that led directly to Chela's resting place inside a mountain, the Titan in question called out to me.
"All of you can leave, except for you, Thread Weaver. We have something to discuss."
For some reason, the four tribe leaders shared a knowing look between themselves and quickly made themselves scarce.
Oi, what the hell are you guys planning??
"Come closer, Thread Weaver."
Wordlessly, I walked closer to her resting form as the massive titan opened her optics for the first time in what was probably millions of years, staring directly at my form for the first time and not through her optical sensors.
"The Fate Weaver child has spoken quite highly of you, Thread Weaver."
"…Lady Chela, may I ask why you asked to speak with me privately?"
"How impatient. Is this what the progeny of Metrotitan been reduced to?"
"…I think you are mistaken, Lady Chela-"
"Mistaken?? About the presence of my own Mate? Be very careful with your words, Standard Former, because the only reason I tolerate your presence is because of the assurances of the Fate Weavers and the presence of Metrotitan's presence within your Spark."
Under the sudden rage of the Titan, I could not help but activate my Laser Cannon at its maximum setting while falling into a combat stance, all the while, internally reeling at the sudden information bomb that she casually dropped on me.
For someone like me, who had studied their body and spark thoroughly for over a century on Caminus, it is a real shock to learn that I had the presence of a Titan, which could either be something as mundane as a set of programs unique to the Titan, or something metaphysical like what many religious bots claim, within my Spark.
However, it would make sense that the Titan in question would be Metrotitan since it was in Crystal City that I had lost my original body to the Council and been reforged into a crude body made of mundane materials. It would make sense that the dormant titan underneath the city, forgotten by everyone but a handful of bots in existence, would take pity on people such as me and imbue us with some form of protection or help.
He was a very kind Titan from what little I remember from our interactions during the Age of Wrath where he fought alongside us against the Quintessons.
He also left a good impression on me for refusing to aid Sentinel in his schemes despite the threat of having his Spark destroyed by the fake Prime.
As if I would ever allow such a thing to happen as long as I am alive.
"..Good. You are brave. Foolish, but brave. Hopefully, it will serve you well in your upcoming task."
"What task?"
"Tell me, do you know why Blackarachnia and by extension, the rest of Eukaris, call you a Thread Weaver?"
"I just thought it was your unique way of calling me."
A straight-faced lie. I had an inking to what being called that meant, but I did not have the courage to face such a truth, especially when I was recovering from my depression. But now, I feel like I can handle the truth, that is why I decided to play dumb and let the Titan explain it fully to me.
"Blackarachnia is what you Standard Formers from Cybertron would call an 'Outlier'. Oh, don't feel surprised that I know Cybertronian terminology, I still retain a connection with my Mate and we occasionally transmit information packets to each other, although what we can transmit is extremely limited due to the Light speed limitations and our own damaged state."
"…Lady Chela, are you in my mind right now?"
I could not find any other explanation as to how she knew I was surprised except for mind reading.
There was no way for her to pick up any body language from me since my body was artificial and I could perfectly control it, added to the fact that I had no features on my faceplate except for my Visor, she couldn't know what I am thinking except for reading my mind.
"Partially. Your friend, the City Speaker, has shown me how to connect my mind to that of others. I admit, it has made my task of watching over Eukaris extremely easy. For now, I can only read emotions from bots, but soon enough, I should be able to read surface level thoughts as well."
Phew, that was close. If she was capable of true telepathy like Soundwave, I would have no choice but to fight the Titan to the death, even if the death in question would more likely be mine than hers.
There are some secrets in my mind that were entrusted to me by many of my comrades from all the way in the Age of Wrath. Secrets that are considered even above Top Secret that I have not divulged even to Megatronus.
The last time anyone even came close to gaining these secrets was Soundwave when he was still a youngling and had no control over his sound-based Telepathy as an Outlier. Even then, I had shielded my mind by locking away my own memories temporarily with a sophisticated program I made based on Neocybex and my human memories, making it impossible for anyone to hack into my mind.
I only opened the locked memories when Soundwave gained absolute control over his powers and stopped being a general menace to personal space to everyone.
I think there was even the time when Laserbeak hit him over the head for reading her mind accidentally and talking about her private things to Ravage.
"Stop getting lost in your thoughts. Seriously, Younglings these days have no respect for the old."
"Youngling? Also, where did you learn to talk like that?"
This time, there was no hiding the shock in my voice. If I was considered a Youngling, by her standards, most of Eukaris, Caminus, and the rest of the colonies might as well have not even been born yet.
"I learned it from Vector Prime back during what you Cybertronians call the Age of Evolutions. He said that it was the way the future descendants of Cybertron and some organic species would talk so we should be prepared."
"Of course, it had to be a Prime."
"….You don't have much respect for the Primes, do you?"
"One in particular. The rest can hardly be called Primes thanks to their actions."
Sentinel, his predecessor, Nominus, and the Prime before him, Nova, were all disappointments that brought shame to the title of Prime. Hopefully, Optimus would live up to the title. While my human memories were reassuring, I could not help but think of the many major and minor changes I brought through both direct and indirect means during my existence on Cybertron, causing no small amount of dread to pool within my metaphorical gut, afraid of what I would see when I return to Cybertron.
As for Alpha Trion, there is no way I will ever forgive him. I will not go out of my way to search for him since I have much larger concerns to deal with. But should he ever show himself in front of me again, I will destroy him. That is a promise.
"Be that as it may, I think we have gone on enough of a tangent. Going back to our original conversation, we call you Thread Weaver because you, just like the rest of the Outliers, are born without a fate. As such, your kind is capable of creating your own future. A unique existence that not even Vector Prime can see the future of."
As expected, although slightly different from my original expectations. I thought it was my unique status as a reincarnation that allowed me to be immune to clairvoyants. I still remember the shock that Blackarachnia had when she tried to look into my future and only saw vague images without any explanation, unlike the clear directions and fate she sees when she looks into other people's futures.
A piece of information that should come handy in the future.
"I appreciate the truth about why I am called a Thread Weaver on Eukaris. But what does this have to do with why you asked to speak to me privately?"
"Because only a Thread Weaver has the chance to accomplish the task that I have for you. Make no mistake, I am not asking you to do this without giving any reward. In addition to giving you any one set of knowledge of your choosing from the vast archives of my mind, I will also give you what you want the most."
"And what would that be?"
"I will tell you where the Forge of Solus Prime is."
….What???
"Lady Chela, apologies but I must confirm one thing. How do you know where the Forge is? I mean, wasn't your partner Onyx Prime? Not Solus Prime. In fact, it should be the Titan Caminus, Solus's personal Titan that should know the location, not you."
Not to mention the fact that Alpha Trion had sent the Forge to Earth in my human memories. While I am not sure if that is what happened in this universe as well, it is still not something that I would expect this oversized Turkey to know about.
"That is not important right now. What is important, is the credibility of my information. And without a doubt, my information is credible. So, will you do it?"
"….Very well. What is the task?"
"Locate the Titan Emissary and retrieve the Cyber Caliber."
….Holy Shit!! This bird has really big ambitions!
"Respectfully, no. I do not have any intentions of dying by turning my body into many chunks with their own consciousness."
"Relax, youngling. The Cyber Caliber has been placed inside a specialized container aboard the Emissary alongside the Tomb of Prima. You just need to bring that container to me."
"..And why do you need that??"
"Because without the Enigma of Combination, the Cyber Caliber is the only shot I have at turning into a regular Cybertronian, even if my mind is divided into multiple bodies. Because it is the only way for me to fulfill my long dream of walking alongside my children on Eukaris once again without bringing them harm."
