Recent Thoughts

Misc post while I continue to ready up the third build. For updates sake:

Theater nearly done now. Just need to finish the ending puzzle portion (which, on paper is technically the second half of the theater.) This includes the Ruby route section, the Ghost hunter story section, and alexandrias departure from the room for her route. That's about all there is until it's finished, then in-between's for the ghost hunters to be roaming the halls as usual. I'll go through and play the game from start to current finish just to see how it meshes. It's been a looooong time since I've played it longer than 3 consecutive minutes. Play test, power off, fix, re-play test.

The credits are finished now as well. There's some tweaking to do, but I will say that it's more than just scrolling words. Honestly, I'm emotional. "Over a bondage porn game? You're crazy!" You might say. Well, it's a little more to me. This entire thing has been such an art piece. Such a mood I wanted to get across. The credits reflect that, to me. They show a lot of history. I can always hear Visgrant Manors theme in my head. Honestly, I'm not ready to be done....

Of course, I'm gonna finish it. Duh. But it makes me sad the over 1 year long journey is undeniably closing up. It's the beginning of the end. Or at least, it will be once build 3 comes out. Struggle mini game art is started. It's a pain in the butt, but I'll try to knock it out.

Another thing I wanted to touch on was plans for the finale. The current plan is this: Build 3 around the time of next month. I aim to get it out before February is over. If you've ever commissioned me, then you know that I play it very safe with my time estimates. I say it should be done in one month, but really hopefully it will be much sooner. Now, back to my plan... Build 3 next. Then, build 4. The plan is for Build 4 to pick up from the tunnels and end in the library. The library is the very last room before the finale. So, Build 4, and then the final build being build 5 contains the finale for all FOUR routes. The finale for the first 3 routes all takes place in the same room (granted they're all very different) But as we know the secret route takes place in an entirely new environment. I want the be able to finish the main endings as well as the secret route's entirely new area unpressured. I also have 4 more ending artworks to create, so two more builds is ample time. The time from build 4 and 5 shouldn't be too long, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

One final thing, is what you want to see out of the Patreon? Are there any inside looks you want to see? Any polls? Any QnA's I could do? If there's any questions at all whatsoever, or if anything arises in the next build, contact me, please! I am thinking on doing a comprehensive cut content list, just for fun. But not for a while. Perhaps a soundtrack on youtube, too, just since I did make some of the songs myself.
